Mehdi M. Kashani lives and writes in Toronto, Canada. His fiction has appeared in West Branch, Booth, CRAFT, and Coolest American Stories 2025, among other publications. His debut short story collection is forthcoming from the University of Alberta Press in Fall 2026. His work has been a finalist for Canada’s National Magazine Awards and shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short Story Prize.
